Review by hotel critic
During my recent city trip to Reykjavik, I was lucky enough to stay at the Radisson Blu 1919 Hotel, and I can't recommend it highly enough. The spacious room was an oasis of comfort, complete with luxurious amenities that made our late-night returns from exploring a joy rather than a chore. Breakfast was an absolute treat - the Super Breakfast Buffet had an impressive spread of local and international fare, which fueled our adventures around the city's vibrant culture and stunning landscapes. One evening, after a day filled with Icelandic wonders, we indulged at the on-site Brút Restaurant, which showcased incredibly fresh local ingredients - a culinary highlight that made our trip even more memorable. The location was just fantastic too; we found ourselves within walking distance of various cafes and attractions, including the breathtaking Hallgrímskirkja, which perfectly complemented the rugged charm we came to love in Iceland. With the helpful staff always ready to point us in the right direction or assist with tour bookings, our stay was seamless, leaving us with fond memories and a yearning to return. Whether you're a solo traveler or adventuring with family, this hotel is a fantastic base for exploring all the beauty Reykjavik has to offer!
